Lightbulb Re: Florida Intern

hi knok

it is true that you need to have an SSN with authorization to work in order to work in florida. my friend who is currently employed with eckerd pharmacy in florida had advised me to first apply for internhip license. the board will give a deficiency letter for SSN and you can approach any recruiters for H1.

This is the procedure most of the guys follow. he did tell me about one consultant who can help to get h1 but doesn't prmoise good pay. If you want i can try to find out his details and mail you in private.

After doing 500 hrs you can take NAPLEX from florida as additional 2080 hrs are required only for the final state license. One thing you should be careful about is that if you are planning to take naplex to speed up your long wait of exams then please confirm from your state board if they accept the FL NAPLEX score as TEXAS and some other state don't accept FL naplex score transfer. you have to take the florida state license and then only you can sit for the MPJE in those states (eg- florida).

If you want to transfer your scores or license from one state to the other then you can simply take the MPJE of the exam and get the license. but before doing all that please verify the reciprocacity of different states.

you don't have to retake TOEFL, FPGEE and TSE again till the time you have cleared the NAPLEX but FPGEE score has some validity issues as you know. you can keep moving to different states or take licenses in multiple states as long as you want but if you are planning about states like FL and CA check out the details with the state board.

some states don't take foreign graduates at all and don't recognize FPGEE also as you can see from the link i posted for state boards. But don't worry they are very few who do that .

so if you tell me exactly which state you are in and where do you plan to move let me know.

Florida is currently not asking for FPGEC certificate so 45 is okay to get started but most of the states now demand a copy of the FPGEC and for that we have to get 50.

before they change more rules you should apply and get the deficiency letter from florida state board.

bye
