Depending of the country you live in, the only possibility that I can think, for free books or references would be for you to visit a Public Library.

I recommend you the books from "Barrons" for the TOEFL (How to prepare for the TOEFL).

Also, you can find a lot of practices on the Internet. TM is the best for it and it's free! Hope it helps you!
