i understand that you can complete 1500 hrs within an year but you get a intern license which is valid for 2 years. If you submit the intern hours you get your license. there is a certain validity period for the internship license in differrent states after which the extension is at the discretion of the state board. this period is specified probably keeping in mind that all students can not clear the exams or internship within 1 yr.
It is generally expected that you should take (clear if possible) the naplex/mpje within 3 months of getting the FPGEC certificate in case of Texas board but in case you fail then the internship license won't be issued till the time you clear both the exams.
