Yes, Erin.

I just learnt from our "dstrauber" that her name is actually "Daniela". ( I was thinking his name was Shalom )

And "Shalom le chulamm" actually means "Hello to everyone"

But I'm not sure whether it means "peace" as you've mentioned.

For muslims (and all Indians, in Hindi) "salaam" means a form of "salute"
which is used as a greeting(of respect) when people meet one another.
