New smiley, just for you. =>
Dingus, it's time to change your name, although I have to say that "acceptus" doesn't roll off the tongue the same way "Dingus" does.

Looks like I'm a little late jumping in to congratulate you here in this thread. I can only say that if you are close to your Dingus persona in real life that you will undoubtedly be one of those truly rare people--a person who is capable of touching and changing other people's lives.
I cannot even begin to thank you enough for the enormous contributions you've made to our community here. Your boundless optimism, compassion, insight, intelligence, and finally, something I'm sure we've all noticed, your Solomonic leadership are beyond compare and truly set you apart. I'm sure that you realize that this period in one's life, this period of transition, uncertainty, and well, a kind of "ultimate judgment," in which one exposes herself as best she can for admission or rejection, is a very stressful part of one's life. What people need at this time is not just advice, but solidarity; you have provided both.
But I digress with my panegyric to you, when I should be congratulating you. Your admits are awesome, and your dings; well, I'm sure you're aware that a few years in the future, you will most likely be happy about the choices you've made. No matter where you go, I'm confident that you'll take advantage of the opportunities you have. And once you're on the "inside," you'll probably see just how important luck is in the admissions process, especially for smaller programs (which I assume yours is).
I wish you all the best in the coming months as you make your preparations to study at whatever school you choose. Congrats again; I hope you are treating yourself to something special in the "real" world as a reward for your efforts.
