Hey David,
Am I glad to have found you!!
I am Chartered Accountant from India, and have a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the Delhi University. Right now, I am in the process of filling application forms to various MBA programs in the U.S. (mainly top 10). Can you please tell me how to convert my percentage scores into GPA?
Are the admission committees aware of the fact that it is not easy to score high in certain courses in Indian Universities, and, do these comms. do a comparitive analysis of GPA from different parts of the world? (My B.Com Aggregate is 62.88%)
Thanks

Hi Swapnil and thanks for your inquiry.
The admissions committees have specialists for international applicants who are familiar with the universities in those countries as well as their grading scales. As a result, they will be pretty knowledgeable about interpreting your scores.
While you are right that it is not easy to score high, the Indian national applicant pool is extremely competitive so low marks relative to other applicants from your demographic will leave you at a distinct disadvantage that may be hard to mitigate.
As a result, it will be even more important for you to distinguish yourself in your application story. Don’t hesitate to contact me directly if you would like professional assistance with your applications.
Sincerely,
David Petersam
