Tahoe sounds really nice for those long weekends (but oh the guilt afterwards!)...
Good luck at Stanford, see ya at the Little Big Game!

Focus on the bright side, who said you can't do your problem sets at Tahoe?

You can even argue that the environment stimulates braincells. You know, swim a little, do a couple of problem, swim a bit more, do another problems, take a nap, do another problem, eat a sandwhich, do another problem. Sleep for the night, wake up the next morning and do a problem while having your breakfast. Hang out with your friend(s) for a bit and repeat the process, then you'll be done!!!

If I do apply, it probably won't be till 2007 so I have time to:
a) Get back to the U.S. and take some more high level math courses
b) Get outstanding and detailed LORs (this will probably be the strongest area of my app)
c) Put some more distance between me and the first 2 years of undergrad
If not, then I probably will attend a less-rigorous MBA/MPP style program and end up working more towards the policy side (with the WB being a strong possibility there). Of course, all of this would have been a lot easier if I had actually started planning before getting to the end of undergrad, but the past is the past. Sunk costs and there's nothing I can do about it.
Love reading TM forums! The quality of discussion and people posting is definitely top-notch.
Good luck at Stanford next year!
