Thank you friends! I applied to it in early Dec 2003. One more stat that may be useful for future aspirants is one of my recommenders is a Berkeley PhD alumnus. As you can see my AGRE is not high, neither are my verbal,
AWA, TOEFL scores - but they are too bad either I guess. I think I got it mainly because of my recommendations,
SOP, relevant work experience (one patent pending invention and worked as architect for two products ground up) and Q800.
I thought some more people in this forum would get it in a top school. Esp I thought hendrik would get it, looking at his awesome AGRE score. Too bad to hear that hendrik. I am sure you will get it in some other top school. Good luck!
Good luck to all who are still waiting. Btw, I called MIT and found out I have been rejected. I got neither rejection nor acceptance from any other schools yet. But I am extremely happy to live with the one I got.
