The further a program gets from top-10, the sketchier placements will be. As far as I can tell, U. Texas or UC Davis have been the best placements Johns Hopkins has had in the past 15 years. Should we then conclude that the faculty at Hopkins don't care about the graduate students there? If not, why do you think this is the case at Cornell?
