As you might have gathered from reading other posts on this forum, a GPA of 3.1 will not make you stand out. In fact most people would consider it problematic for top schools. What was your class rank?
Also, the calibre of your undergrad institutions matters for admission. For instance, if you went to Beijing University (guessing from your signature
), or somewhere like that, it would certainly help.
