Hi. Newbie here. Pleased to make your acquaintances.
I've applied for economics M.A. programs in three universities in Canada: UBC, Toronto, and Queen's. Queen's has recently gone through and offered a handsome scholarship + TAship package (~$18,000 CAD), so I'm definitely going to
some school this September.

But they require a response by March 7. I'm still hoping for some word from Toronto, though, so I'm wondering when do they usually make decisions for applicants?
Of course, being from UBC myself, I know their program is probably the best in Canada, but I do kind of want to step out for a bit, and their formal deadline is March 1, so I have doubts as to whether they'll be able to reply by March 7. So Toronto is the real lynchpin, and right now I'm starting to go bananas

waiting for their response: some reassuring words on how long I'd have to wait would be much appreciated.
