Hi All,
Didn't know if I should put this under problem solving or DS or what, so I settled for here. My GMAT is in three weeks, and as I'm going through practice math problems, I keep having the same question. Every time I see a diagram, I start to think that making assumptions will get me into trouble. For example, it looks like a triangle/ square is circumscribed in a circle, but then I remember reading that you cannot assume certain things or your work will be incorrect. That leads me to answer choices such as E on DS or picking the option of "There is not enough information provided" on word problems. Another example is when there is a letter O in the middle of a circle, but it does not necessarily state that that is the center. Can I assume that it is? Am I too paranoid? Are there any definite rules for reading diagrams on the GMAT? Thanks for your help.
