MSU (Michigan State University) ranks #51 for Computer Science according to USNews. MSU is tied with the following schools with a score of 2.9:

Syracuse ranks at #67 (at the bottom of the list) and is tied with the following schools with a score of 2.5:

The above list is the latest ranking. (There was no new ranking in 2007/2008 for computer science.)



For computer engineering, MSU ranks at #46 with a score of 2.9 and SYR ranks at #56 with a score of 2.7:






MSU ranks at #18 for computer science research publications according to the publications-based (somewhat speculative) rankings below:



Regarding world rankings, MSU ranks well in the 51-75 range for engineering:



So Michigan State is the clear winner in rankings compared to Syracuse.
