You have an awesome profile apart from your GRE score. While most univs in europe, canada and a few in US like MIT, donot need GRE scores, most of the american univs do. GRE scores are just used to screen out applicants at an initial stage. So its possible that even before the committee get to have a look at your profile, you might get filtered out by some orderly coz u dont meet the gre cutoffs or "expectations"
Bottomline-With your profile, you deserve to study at the best places in US. If possible retake your gre, and explain your first attempt (very) briefly in your
sop. With your potential, it shouldn't be a problem to notch up a decent score.
