Hi pharmaking,

I don't think all hope is lost. Just be patient. While those who got their receipts so far will be assigned in Cali, I read somewhere in the USCIS website that California Service Center estimates it will be able to inform everyone who filed under them by June 15, 2008. For the Vermont Service Center (under which I was applied for, I assume) estimated date of informing everyone is June 2, 2008. So hang in there. It just takes time for the USCIS to inform everyone. Remember, there were 163,000 applications this year. And that's just for H1B applications. And there are a LOT of applications for other types of visas as well.

Lets all continue to pray, hang on, and in the meantime, enjoy what time we have in our respective countries or our families in the US.
