I think it would also be better to add that the 5 year academic curriculum requirement is also very flawed. People who graduated from Australian and New Zealand pharmacy schools are not eligible to take the FPGEE because their 1 year intern year(which is required for licensure) after graduation is not recognized, but for those who have intern year within the academic curriculum before graduation is counted toward the 5 years.
Certainly the NABP cares more about quantity than quality and whether the country itself has strictly five years or not, not(?) considering personal circumstances.
