I guess the news isn't all bad, though. I was able to manuver my way into 3 good situations.

One: I was able to talk with some faculty members and learn my weaknesses, and I got my face out there.

Two: I was able to manuver my way into two choices for graduate school (masters/MBA). I just have to decide which one if any.

Three: I got an admission defferal to next year (they just want me to send an updated resume for the next cycle, that HAS to be good news, right?)

I've got to say, I'm sort of peeved that 3 schools (of 16) never responded. It's just bad manners, ya know?

I'm man enough to admit I lost the first battle, but with my age and experience I never was TOO optimistic. At least I will be able to work towards a PhD, even if I can't work IN a PhD.

Anyone else's quest for a PhD end in without an end this year? I guess we just have to keep strong...
