Took my GRE yesterday.
Quants :720
Verbal : 680
I was very exhausted by the time
AWA was over. Didn't have a lot of content on it. But I was able to paint it with a few flowery words here and there.
I got the Quants section after that and 'boy-o-boy' the questions were nowhere near PowerPrep. The data provided was so indirect, that as time went on I had to take decisions on questions that I knew would consume time and were less likely to produce a correct answer. So, that meant I had started doing "eenie-meenie-mynie-moh" at around the 10th question itself. And still, I didn't have time to do the last couple of problems which were relatively easier and straight-forward. Surprisingly, I never got questions on probability or permutations and combinations. I got one on mixtures which I had never encountered in any if the 7 practice tests I had taken before the main exam. I was a bit dejected with my performance after Quants.
The verbal section was like "sailing on a sleeping ocean" as I knew Barron's back and forth. I was lucky to get the RC only on the 9th question. I spent a lot of time on the RC's but I couldn't concentrate on them as I couldn't erase my Quants performance from my mind. All RC's got over before the 20th question. I had another 5 minutes to complete the remaining 10 questions which I did with a minute to spare.
I thought that I'd attempt the research section as well but my head was reeling and was feeling a bit claustrophobic in that enclosure that I skipped it.
I was expecting a very less quants score but my fears were put to rest when I saw my score. To put it short I'm not too smug and not too dejected with my score.
