Second question, Barrons has many many pactice problems... do you think doing all of them is worthwhile? Usually I am able to solve most of the problems, so I do not know whether it is worth it to go through all of the problems and instead jump into the model tests. Basically I am wondering how you prepared for the quantitative part.

I guess how much time you spend on Barron's depends on how confident you are in your math skills. Personally I went through every single question because I started out feeling weak in math. Also, the more problems you do the more you get used to the style of the questions--barron's were pretty close to the actual test in my experience, especially the Geometry. Speed is very important on the GRE so you want to get used to solving the problems as fast as you can. I say it's worth it to go through all the problems in Barron's unless you really have no time to prepare.
You're right, barron's had nothing on SD or normal distribution. I would not have known it if not for this board. I reviewed the topic from my Intro to Statistics textbook. As it is, I'm not quite sure I got the problem right.
