Comments: Pitt was one of my top choices and I shot a professor I'm interested in working with an email after I submitted my application. He forwarded the email to the admissions director and I spoke with both of them at length over the phone that week. They flew me up for a visit and interview 2 weeks later. They stayed in touch afterwards and made an offer in December. I accepted right after Christmas. Go Panthers!
I think graduating from a military college helped, it's kind of a rare path to a PhD in business so I think it might have stood out a little, hopefully it answered any maturity questions too.
