It is 72.. answer is correct..

there are three pieces of wires.. say A,B,C
and each of A, B and C is cut in 4,6,8 parts.. to have integer length of each sub-piece, the length of A, B, C should be LCM of 4,6,8 i.e. 24..

now as length of A,B and C are equal. total length of wire = 24 * 3 = 72
