hey i have also got a offer letter from university of alberta at 16th june,2009 for master of engineering at the electrical and computer engineering department.
the biggest benefit of master of engineering is that it is almost certain that you will pass the course and u will have a broad range of opportunities for getting a job as u are doing more theoretical courses. its just remain in the safe side.
on the other hand (insert demonstrative pronoun here) advantages are..... u will not get any financial benefit, u will not be able to do phd... with this degree... as u will have to complete the requirement of research (thesis) and some other courses if u like 2 do phd after this course.....
on he other hand the biggest benefit of m.sc.(thesis) is that as a research assistant u will get financial benefit....u will be able to do phd directly after the course...
but disadvantages are u r narrowing your field by this course...if u failed to complete your research u will be failed n will not get the degree.
lastly it usually takes 1 year or 1year 4 month o complete both the courses... not necessarily 2 year.... but u can take up 2 the 2 year time...
its really nice 2 see u all here ... hope 2 meet u all ahey i have also got a offer letter from university of alberta at 16th june,2009 for master of engineering at the electrical and computer engineering department.
