At MIT, strategy has just been officially incorporated into the Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship group, making it TIES. The Economic Sociology group is also a place where there is a lot of "strategy-type" research, as is System Dynamics. Boundaries are fairly porous, however, as Moomber says.
