Hi!
I just wanted to thank everyone in this forum. Tough I didn't post much, I found the information given to be of great value. Just to share, these are my admission results:

Profile:
-GRE: 790 quant, 610 verbal, 4.5 writing
-TOEFL: 113
-Undergrad: National University of Mexico, Computer Science, graduated with honors and a (converted) GPA of 4.0
-Research: Poster in an international congress and research experience in a biomedical lab in my university.

Applied mostly to bioinformatics PhD programs.

Universities that rejected me:
-MIT (C&SBiology)
-Janelia Farm Graduate Program (I had no background in neurology, but wanted to try out anyway =P)
-University of California Santa Cruz (Bioninformatics)

Universities that accepted me:
-Duke University (CB&Bioinfo) with a great stipend and fellowship. I interviewed there and the grad students and faculty were awesome.
-Stanford University (Biomed Inform): Great university, awesome fac and grad students as well. Got a great fellowship as well.
-University of Waterloo (Master in CS): With stipend, great university as well.
-Columbia University: Applied to PhD in Biomedical Informatics, but they told me to take the masters first, without financial aid.

I had a tough time deciding on Duke or Stanford, but Stanford honored me with a really great fellowship and the faculty was really supportive, so I will be going there.
