We haven't seen it yet. However, when will the score available online without paying extra? I asked my son and he did not want to check. He is doing applications. If we know around next week, we can wait.
Thank you for asking. If you take it, I hope you got a good score. Knok

Facts: Be sure to pass all sections of TOEFL iBT (R21, L18, S26*,W24) before applying for FPGEE. Thousands of candidates passed FPGEE but could not achieve TOEFL requirement after several attempts. Percent passing rate on the speaking section is only 10 percent. (http://www.ets.org/Media/Tests/TOEFL...mmary_2008.pdf, page 5) The average score on the speaking section of the US candidates is 22 and candidates from English speaking countries is 23 (http://www.ets.org/Media/Tests/TOEFL...mmary_2008.pdf, p. 9-10.) My son's ACT score is 28.
His writing decreased from 10 to 8. He got 34 in Math..99 percentile. However, he'll try again this December for both ACT and SAT .There should be more opportunities for him to get into a selective school. Hopefully, everyone's score improved. Knok

Hi Jess and everyone,
How did you do on the reading section? Princeton told my son to read only 3 passages and skip one passage. Then guess the one passage. I can't believe this. I just talked to him yesterday in details about how he did on the reading. He got 24 on reading, the lowest score that dragged the composite score down. Did you follow PR for the reading and science? What are your outlines or your trick on doing the writing? He said that he did pretty well but his score dropped to 8. Did they count the writing into composite score? I have no idea about it. Thank you. Any idea is welcome. Knok

The Writing Section has no effect on the composite score -- it will show up in the English/Writing subscore, however.
Most colleges will not be using the writing section as another factor in the admissions process.

With Science, I got a 28. Thing is, I knew nothing about the Science. I just tried to do as much as possible as best as possible and skip over the questions I didn't know. Fortunately, I was able to eliminate a few answers and just guess for everything. I'm not really sure I had a "strategy". My friends who scored well did the same thing I did, but they just got more right. heh. The ACT questions are so much easier to argue than the SAT questions. I think the best thing I did to prepare for the essays is to look through old essay questions, figure out what examples I could use for them, and then figure out how I could use the examples for different essay topics. I think name dropping classic works work pretty well on the SAT, and probably the ACT, too. Shakespeare, Mark Twain, certain wars. Make sure you've got a variety of examples and prepare them in advance. I hope this helps, and good luck in December.

My scores are finally online!
While I didn't get the composite I wanted, I did pretty well on the English and Math sections (30 and 28 respectively). I'm betting on the fact that Northeastern colleges will look mostly at the English/Math scores (its the most comparable sections to the SAT), and at the score overall. I'm actually suprised I did so well on math; I thought I got more than 8-10 wrong. I thought I did well on reading; however, I ended up getting a worse score than I recieved in June.
