October 22nd ACT

Did anyone take the October 22nd ACT?

My feelings:

English - Easy as usual; there were a few quicky questions, though.

Math - Extremely difficult for me; the math section was much harder than the packet they give you

Reading - Pretty Easy; The passages were pretty easy, so were the questions

Science Extremely difficult; the passages were extremely verbose and required too much thinking

Ughh, I'm now going to rest.

Babypurin,

My son could not finish two questions of Math. He said that they were too hard to solve. Other parts were easy. He did okay on writing, reading and science.

Again, he will take both ACT and SAT again in December. That would be the last. I wish he can smile after Dec.

Facts:

Be sure to pass all sections of TOEFL iBT (R21, L18, S26*,W24) before applying for FPGEE. Thousands of candidates passed FPGEE but could not achieve TOEFL requirement after several attempts. Percent passing rate on the speaking section is only 10 percent. (http://www.ets.org/Media/Tests/TOEFL...mmary_2008.pdf, page 5)

The average score on the speaking section of the US candidates is 22 and candidates from English speaking countries is 23 (http://www.ets.org/Media/Tests/TOEFL...mmary_2008.pdf, p. 9-10.)

Hmmm I've taken the New SAT 3 times, and the ACT with writing 3 times; and still stick to my motto, many people (including me!) seem to do better on one test or another.

The only problem is that the ACT is given in very few countries outside of the United States. Test centers will be extremly sparse and you can't take the "optional essay" section that many U.S. colleges require.

Score Reports are usually mailed to your home within 4 to 7 weeks after each test date

Early Scores will be avaliable starting November 8–10, 2005 for the October 22nd administration. (There is a fee of $8 if you want to see your scores early.)
