erin, and in general all of you:

i have been an avid folower of the TestMagic form and in general I am surprised to see how really few biologists and people from similar fields post in this forum. why is this so. are comp sci poeple and in egenral engineers so overwhelmingly popular.

this is just a passing thought.

but in general its good to read about all the posts and success stories.

Good question, not sure. Perhaps because there are fewer biology people?

yet the funny thing is biological sciencces and biotech related stuff are one of the hottest things both in academia and industry right now! anways, I think another thing is absense of funding for international students because most of the biosciences phd students int eh usa are funded thru NIH grants, which does not support phd studies for international students. I have heard this from seniors but dont know how far this is true. ! anyways, I would be very happy to help international students applying to bioscinces.
cheers
