Dear all,
I would like to spread the good news to all of you. Up to this moment, I got admission for MS in mechanical engineering of University of Texas at Arlington and SUNY @ Buffalo. I was surprised of being admitted. I gained a lot of insights from the activists in the website. I would like to thank them. Actually, I have not decide which school I am going to attend. As I am still wait for decision from the other schools. I will post the result here if I get that later. In the meantime, which one do you think that is better? UTA or SUNY? ![]() Ricky |

SUNY Buffalo is better. Maybe I am being biased cause its my undergraduate institution, UB is not bad at all overall, but I am not very sure in mechanical engineering, but I can tell for the past 3 years or so the mechanical engineering has been very dynamic in pursuing research in virtual reality, there is the Center for Computational reserach here at UB ts good, U will have fun...good luck with your decision

Dear Sunxcat, thaiva, BigMo,
Thank you very much for your reply. Actually I applied for 13 schools: University of Akron University of Texas at Arlington SUNY Buffalo University of Missouri, Rolla Oregon State University Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo Wright State University Wichita State University Louisiana State University Louisiana Tech University University of New Orleans Northern Illinois University University of Louisville Since I do not have a high GPA in undergraduate school. So you might found that those schools I applied are not really reputated ones. Actually, after having admission of SUNY, some of the choice can be eliminated. I am just waiting for the result from: Oregon State University Louisiana State University Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo I would like to ask you guys one thing, how much do you know about Cal Poly? Is it generally good or bad? I learnt that from some people that the undergraduate program in engineering is not bad. But I am sure how good is the graduate program. If you have an idea, please kindly advise. Anyway, I am glad to provide you my background information. As it might have to to decide which schools are you gonig to choose. Please tell me if you want to know anything. I am glad to share my experience with you. And this is the use of this forum, " helping other in sharing experience". Cheers ~ ![]() I am really grateful for your reply. P.S HI BigMo, how's the weather in Buffalo? is it nice in summer and harsh in winter? I am quite concern of it's weather Thank you very much!
