Congrats bombomba. I also completed an evening MBA program that took me close to 3 years to complete. But I am sure you are joining a full time MBA and it would be fun. The positive side of an evening program, even though takes a while to complete is that one can continue with your present job.
Let me know your email as I have a question for you.

thanks

I haven't been here for a while. I used this site a lot (and tried to contribute to it) when preparing for my GMAT. Anyhow, I applied to three MBA programs (based on career goals, location, and well, brand): Harvard Business School (HBS), MIT Sloan, and Northwestern Kellogg. I'm accepted to Sloan and Kellogg, and will be at Sloan this Fall.

I've learned a lot here, and now I like to help out. In addition to Sloan and Kellogg, I'm also familiar with Stanford GSB and HBS because I have several friends going there. Feel free to ask me anything regarding the MBA admission process.

Good luck everyone.

Re: IN at MIT Sloan and Kellogg. Happy to take questions

Congrats for MIT & Kellogg. Its a great achievement.
I have a question - Does having a Masters degree in engineering field from a place like MIT or Berkeley have any impact, if one wants to apply for MBA to places such as the ones you had applied to? Will it increase your chances of getting in? The person applying has the required work experience and decent GMAT scores.
Waiting eagerly for your reply

How do schools validate XC

I would like to know how schools validate the info provided by applicants. Its quiet easy to check GPA and GMAT scores but how about XC activities?

Also as i will be applying to HBS and Yale for this fall I would like to know what extra supporting documents ( apart from those mentioned in the application) do they require from apllicants. Were you asked to submit documents like wrok contracts, pay slips or college XC certificates?

Students at Kellogg have poor quant skills and are a little bit too much team players but not leaders. Pretty much the same goes for MIT Sloan, students are too intellectual and not aggressive.

There's a story about an admitted Kellogg student who wrote on his appl, "Hours worked per week – 168 ..."!

And a student reader says he read once, "I didn't apply to Tuck because they require a lot of math." (His comment to this was "She struck me as a prototypical Kellogg student.")

Kellogg vs MIT would be tough. Both are absolutely freezing cold and have different strengths.
