Need help on what to do with my acceptance letters

Hi

I have applied to the Masters of computing science program at Arizona state university(polytechnic campus) and have also applied to Auburn Alabama for MSCS. I have a GRE 1190(630Q , 560 V) my toefl is 109 and I am a permanent resident of the US ie. green card holder.

I am right now waiting for any information on my admissions from both universities and am very anxious as these are the only two I have applied to. My ASU application status says IN-REVIEW and Auburn they say not accepted yet(wht does that mean 'not acceted yet' should I take it as a rejection?).

Do permanent resident applications get processed later than the international students as I do not require a I20 from the university so should I still keep my hopes for admissions and also is there any chance I can apply to any other university now?

This is an anxious time for every applicant, I know. Have you considered contacting the department or graduate school office at both universities? I find that the secretaries are usually pretty nice. I would ask them at ASU is there is a typical time frame for when they make decisions and notify applicants. Likewise with Auburn. As far as applying to other programs, I think you can find a number of schools that do rolling applications. Since you're already looking in the South, have you taken a look at University of Alabama - Huntsville? From what I've heard their CS department is pretty good.

Good luck

Thanks piparoo, I did call ASU and ask the same but the lady responsible said there is no particular time frame as such when ever the decision is made it will be put up on my ASU ID so I should just wait for the decision and keep checking myASU ID. I wrote an email to Auburn and the representative replied saying I was in the system but wasn't admitted as yet and gave me another representatives email ID, I haven't heard from her yet, so I don't know if I should take that as a rejection or it just means my decision hasn't been made yet.

As for university of alabama- Huntsville I have looked at it before, I will definitely try thank you for your reply reading it just gives me a little more hope.

I do not think I can answer your question . I applied Ph.D instead of Master which I got accepted from all schools last month. The time frame for Ph.D is 4/15 which means you still have a chance to get in until 4/15 for Ph.D not sure Master. If you do not hear anything from them it is possible that they did not process yet or they put you on waiting list ( if someone did not accept then you might have a chance to get in). What is the deadline for applying to Master?
