Rejection from Brown

I guess Yale sent out rejection letters yesterday. Next week will be critical for both Yale and Rochester hopers .

Have you heard anything about LSE Mres/PhD decisions. I heard a lot of people with rejections but heard noone accepted. Do you know anything about when they will send out the remaining part of results? Do you know anyone accepted?

I haven't heard anyone being accepted to the mr/phd at lse, neither. From yale, no sign yet, I guess I am out, but anyway, my application was completed on the 6th of febr. due to toefl score reports failures . I contacted one friend at rochester and I am waiting for her news ... will update ASAP.

NYU and Chicago made their decisions recently, but I think they are dealing with the paperwork. Moreover, Stanford has also finished the job.

Next week NYU will definitely send the notifications. Chicago will start mailing out. It means that at the end of next week, or at the beginning of the week after next week we will hear from them.

My friend in Yale told me that I am on the borderline of acceptence. So this is a really stressful weekend for me. I got up at 6 am. Ooohh ****!!

I think I am waitlisted at Brown since I didnt hear any rejections yesterday. I dont believe UCSD will accept me, although they've indicated that I am waitlisted.

I guess all of the schools treat me differently since I have my own fellowship and funding.

I am getting really nervous and wanna screaaaaaam to decharge my stress.

It seems that you are waitlisted everywhere . Your case is indeed unique

Me too buddy . No news, no progress !!

But I am trying to brush up MWG at weekends. I hope it will be a fruitful effort than sitting and counting the hours to reach Monday. It sounds boring but I have to do it in this or that way.

But some other news for :
U Chicago's Phd Econometrics' offer - 19K for 9 months + 5K summer award for completing a research paper. (Is it business school??? )

And IU ( Iowa/ Illinois?) offers 17K x 5-yr fellowship.

In chicago gsb, there is a phd in econometrics and statistics program. So dont worry. It is not about us.

Hoper, UI is the University of Iowa, Iowa City. It is highly popular among Chinese students. Geweke is there. He is a perfect econometrician.

Geweke is probably one of the top bayesian econometrician right now. I thought that he was in minnesota though didn't know that he transfered

Do you know Chinese? If you don't, it is the 3rd thread "2005 Fall Offer". There is a downloadable excel, updated from time to time. I can only read it by saving it instead of openning it directly.

But it is a Phd in Econometrics instead of Economics. I haven't heard that there is such a degree.
