Reject from Harvard...
I won't cry... I won't cry... I won't cry...
 Looked today into my postbox and found a thin envelope from Harvard GSAS. A thin envelope means always only one  . Ok, so from the BIG TEN I still wait for:- Berkeley (very low chances unless L.C. Evans will have mercy with my poor PDE soul) - MIT - CalTech - NYU (Courant) - Columbia - Stanford Hold my fingers crossed .

 That is life. At least you know you tried. I don't like that much Harvard; do not know why  . I guess it is a notion that Harvard is more "formal" and "elitistic" while MIT is more "informal" and "crazy-genius" - type of school.

didn't they inform you over email?
i have also applied to harvard EECS but haven't received any communication yet. there is no page where one can check their status even. i am waiting now for the postman with his (thin/thick?) envelope... Last edited by cooldude001 : 02-26-2005 at 09:03 PM. Reason: typo correction |

There was no e-mail, only snail-mail... It's not that I'm worried about Harvard. Certainly it would be nice but... you know... HArvard is that type of school where you gonna have to wear a tie... and... Have you ever seen a mathematician wearing a tie ? Heh?

At least your rejection was from Harvard... I got a rejection from Columbia. My rejection letter had to cross east river rather than the atlantic ocean, but it is still a disappointement.
