have you heard from anywhere else, or heard about funding from UBC? I agree on the UoT and UBC vs. LSE, and even though UoT is ranked lower than UBC, the applicants coming from UoT are probably more sought after. Last time I heard from uot they said April 11th! here's hoping they let us know sooner. |

It is somewhat funny that UCL (University College London) has not notified me yet for the MSc in Economics decision. Under normal circumstances I will not consider going to UCL since I've got both UBC and UPF (Universitat Pompeu Fabra)
However iff UCL offers me tuition waiver and decent university accommodation (it does not have to be free) (these are highly unlikely to happen) I will choose UCL over UBC and UPF ceteris paribus.

I am in at UBC Economics MA as well, with partial funding from a combination of TAship and small fellowship. What are your funding status?
Are you guys taking up the offer? What do you think of the prospects of doing a PhD in a top US Economics PhD programme after UBC? Think the deadline UBC set for accepting the offer is a bit tight. I am actually still awaiting some results from 2 US programmes. Any feedback on UBC's programme is more than welcome!  |
