In at U.British Columbia MA Econ

In at University of British Columbia MA in Economics by email from the graduate school. The department of Economics will send me a letter about any financial aid and more details.

[I applied to UBC, Toronto and Queen's and UBC was the only one without "pre-application" requirement. Therefore I hope that since I "passed" the "pre-application" in Toronto and Queen's and I will get in there too! ]

Re: In at U.British Columbia MA Econ

Hey, me too! Congratulations!

(long-time lurker)

We actually applied to a bunch of the same schools, well, good luck on UoT and Queens (although UBC is ranked a bit higher).

If you want nice weather and highly ranked international trade, then the best place in Canada for MA is definitely UBC.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Ok, I think it's your turn to give us an update of all your schools, I get confused sometimes since you applied to a whole bunch of school for MA and Ph.D. Sometimes I don't know which programs you REALLY want to get into (other than Stanford) and which are just safeties. The realm of the president is beyond my understanding!!!

What is your research area? Where else have you applied? When did you hear from UBC? Have you heard from anywhere else? Do you think that since I got into UBC I will also get to Toronto? (MA Doctoral Stream)
By the way: Congratulations !!!

Re: In at U.British Columbia MA Econ

CONGRATULATIONS
Sorry for arriving late my dear, but I just woke up ! These are great news! So, we have UBC >= UPF and waiting for Toronto, UCL, LSE EME and Queens to answer. Still, I am in love with UPF, mainly for its faculty members . In any case, many congratulations, it is so nice that you are going to a top MSc Econ Program! Soon, we will be classmates
