cliff23
A number of us (hopefully me included!) will be receiving financial aid notifications from Harvard. MIT is rumored to release its decisions. The Penn admin assistant informed everyone decisions should have been made on Friday and will be released tomorrow. I hope everyone gets good news tomorrow![bounce]

vinnythepooh
Cliff / Anyone else... Does anyone know whether all the NYU decisions have been made and have all students been notified? I know that they spend a little bit of time going student by student and professor by professor in admitting students. Would anyone know if that process is over? I see some whogotin postings, but not that many anybody apply out there and get a reject or acceptance? just wondering ps - NYU has a very inefficient process for an econ department

My friend called them last Friday and they said that acceptances have been sent out, so if you've heard nothing, you are most likely waitlisted or rejected. Econ
Question: Why is MIT sleeping??? Is this part of their strategy or smt? How do they expect to attract candidates that have already engaged in communication with faculty/staff of other big-five universities? Just wondering ... why is MIT the only top20 school that has not released its first round of admits yet (together with UPenn I think)? Are they waiting for NSF to announce the awards? If you're asking why there have been no acceptances, in fact MIT has already made some offers - I know of 2 from quite a few days ago. One of my friends was in fact waitlisted for funding, so I would assume they have made a substantial number of offers.
