UIUC vs. Rice vs. UT

UIUC #1 in DSP in the country. Guy that did his undergrad there told me that. Not sure if true. Rice #1 in TX in DSP, Rice grads told me that. I aprreciate everyone's input. I wouldn't in the position choosing between these great schools had it not been for Test Magic that raised my Verbal from 440 to 630!

Guy who went to UIUC in networks told he preferred it over Rice.
UIUC is #1 in DSP?
What about MIT DSPG?

Between top notch schools I guess the only factor that counts is your area

of interest and with whom you work over there.

Hey EEPHDWANNABE, I also got an offer from Rice. We probably met at the Rice ECE recruit weekend. I am into Engineering physics..from University of Texas at Dallas. I am having to choose between Rice, Austin, and Upenn. Lemme know what you think!

Hehe we probably did meet. Which one were you? There were three Eng. Physics guys as I recall. I most likely will take Rice's offer. UT funding situation is pretty unattractive.

Oh yeah!!! I remember you now. From UT-Dallas. You are the black guy that sat to the right of me when I just got there the first night (I am the Russian guy that got there late from Texas Tech). You were interested in device physics you said. What other offers did you get? I got into A&M, UT. Still waiting on UIUC and a sure reject from CalTech.
