though the list is still incomplete I've decided to post my admits/rejects:

Rejects: Princeton, UC Berkeley, MIT, Harvard, Chicago, Stanford, Yale, Columbia, Caltech, Cornell, UC San Diego, U Penn, Notre Dame, Duke

Admits: Wisconsin - Madison, Minnesota, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, Iliinois Chicago, Indiana Bloomington, Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh, LSU, Kentucky, Syracuse, Northeastern.

Pending: Michigan, UCLA, Brown,Maryland, Rice, Purdue, Penn State, Washington (St. Louis), UC Santa Barbara, Boston, Rochester, Delaware, Hawaii Manoa, Connecticut.

WARNING: THESE ARE ONLY US UNIV's I HAVE APPLIED TO. LEFT OUT UK AND CANADA... (Admits: Sussex, Edinburgh, ICL,... <- no possibilities for financial aid because EU Citizen... said... "f**k you and have a nice cup of tea..." ) . Canada? Forget about Canada... lots of snow and elks...

So, by today it's 12:14:14 . Should this rate sustain I'd be admitted to 18 out of 40 US Univs.

And the most important thing:
ACCEPTED OFFERS: UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA, MINNEAPOLIS.

There a lot of astonishing things here actually,apart from the fact that you actually applied to 40-odd places.I have seen your profile,and it is nothing short of astonishing.That you still got rejects from the "biggies" (UCB,MIT,princeton,harvard,chicago,stanford) is even more astonishing.

I know! We should have done this in the very beginning. Have everyone post their profiles and what schools they applied to, then we pick what schools we think people will get admit/reject and then have everyone send in $50. The highest scorers will have a nice pot of money to help them pay for the move .

Of course, I'm kidding since people were SO NERVOUS, many people would be offended with this game. Like if people were guessing that I would not get in anywhere, I would be really upset.

Congratulations on the decision! I don't know anything about Sverlak, but by your enthusiasm he sounds like a very important man, so you have a great oppurtunity to be successful! Besides, Minneapolis sounds like a very cool city (and with you there, it will be even more ). I just hope that you still have money for the flight ticket...
