    Finally a good news for me.
    I've been accepted to the Stanford MS&E program (for MSc.)
    Still waiting for:
    - Columbia
    - Cornell

    Unfortunately, no aid for MS student.
    So I'll have to find the money somehow.

    my sincerest congratulations as well!
    it is exactly the same program that wrote that kind email i posted some days ago...but with a different mood... i was really looking forward, it's a special program quite flexible and multidisciplinar... it was my first choice with TPP@MIT, but same answer from boston... i think they are mainly places for engineers, aiming to make some public policy (this is for mit, stanford offers very different tracks)...i applied with a degree in economics, and with only 2 letters instead of 3, but really i could not supply a third one...

    my sincere congrs again, i am sure u will have terrific time there in palo alto....

    Lorcar, would you mind if I asked you about your profile?
    Personally, I don't think your economics background was the main reason behind the reject.
    You mentioned that you only applied with 2 LORs instead of 3. What about your GPA and GRE?
    Sorry for bothering you with these questions and I wish you best of luck with rest of your applications.

    I am also an aspirant for MS MSE program.
