I agree, congrats. NW, from everything I've heard, is a wonderful place. Plus you have access to Chicago, need I say more?

Klim, what is the "Five Good Guys Society" ?

They are Chicago, Minnesota, Northwestern, Penn and Rochester.

Keywords: Neoclassical macroeconomics, calibration instead of regression, micro-founded macro.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I was actually hoping this thread would be a place for everyone to post their final decision in one place. Might be nice to see what everyone finally decided.

In fact, it is better to do research of this kind of a school outside them. These five schools have always been a little bit prejudiced against some other types and methods of research. Chicago and Minnesota are the most heavily influenced ones in this modern days. In the past, Rochester was one of the mainstreams.

Harvard and MIT are better for RBC research. You can learn cutting edge econometrics, some modern simulation techniques and new behavioral methods there besides calibration.
