Queen's U MA Econ (?) Relief finally!
What a relief!
 Finally I got an answer from Queen's U MA in Economics. They have recommended that I am not offered admission. (!) "Your application for graduate studies in the Department of Economics at Queen's University has been given careful consideration and I regret to inform you that we have recommended that you not be offered admission." I'm really curious why they decided this.  (any suggestions? apart from the obvious "we received many applications this year and... etc" ) Keep in mind that I got offers from LSE, UCL, UBC, UPF and Warwick so far.I don't feel that bad since only if I got full finacial aid from Queens I would choose it over Univ. Pompeu Fabra. Do you think I can ask them the reason for not been offered a place?

Of course you could, gsteria! But, only if they are willing to entertain your requests... I thought I read from a thread that you were a phd student. It'll be very interesting to know why the school did not accept you into the program. After all, you are only applying for a Masters and that gaining entry into a phd is altogether a very different playing field. The latter is so much more difficult to get an admit, not to mention financial aid. At least, that's what I thought so.
However, what's most important currently is to sort out all your visa, clothing stuff, etc. Provided you are an international applicant or are you not? Anyway, congrats on your superb admits, dude! Your hard work pay off. |

u got an e-mail? Hey YOU DID GREAT TILL NOW, so relax and just wait for UoT doctorial stream ma! No news from LSE EME , QUEENS'S , UoT(MA) <-----hoping having good news NW, NYU, CORNELL (PHD) <------strongly assuming rejections!!! |

Yes I got an e-mail today (1 hour ago maybe). The strange thing is that I was approved in the pre-application.
I'm so worried about U of Toronto! Someone in TM said that s/he was admitted at U of Toronto some week(s) ago. (!) Good luck!
