I think you should choose the school on its strength in your field of specialization, rather than its EE or overall ranking. I agree that being an ivy leaguer does sweeten the Princeton pie, but when it comes to graduate studies, and this is especially true in case of PhDs, the reputation of your group plays the most important role. Ultimately your professor's recommendation will decide which company you join or where you pursue your PhD.
So i dont really know about Princeton's wireless group, but one of my friends at UMich doing PhD in wireless says a lot of nice things about the group there. Finally, congrats for your amazing admits and Best of luck |
