Urgent:Acceptance to univs ok??

well as i i told earlier that i got an acceptance from both CMU & RPI..

now i have a couple of questions..

1)can i send an acceptance to both the universities....as both will send me there next formalities & also the i 20 soon...this is cos many ppl told me it helps if u hv many i 20s at the time of visa..

2)i m from iindia...i just like to know..now what??
i got a call i send them an acceptance letter...what will they do...

wht shud i do in mean time..??tak a visa date..& how do we do that on net..??or shud i wait until i get a i20...

Mahamaya, regarding the visa date, I think you need to pay the SEVIS fee before you can book a slot. For paying the SEVIS fee you have to have the I 20 with you as it has a SEVIS number on it.

me 2 4m india dude........just send them the acceptance thing.........atleast u have an I-20 in hand.....u need that 2 book ur visa.......nd be sure to finalise a uni b4 booking a visa date........else u'll land up spending $100 more.......

Be careful! There is some kind of system that some schools use to check to see if you have accepted more than one offer. If that system finds out that you accepted two offers, then you might end up getting rejected from both schools.

There is another thread about accepting more than one offer somewhere on TestMagic. It explains why you shouldn't do it in detail and the possible consequences. Look for it.

I think one change in I-20 is permitted after booking your visa date... you can book your visa date on one I-20 and change once to another I-20 without paying extra. not too sure though

thax guys...now i m clear on many accounts
