Hey Guys....i had received an admit frm Purdue CS and am thinking of goin there...But do have a lill prob!! 2 weeks earlier i was informed that the funds that i had shown as proof of the 1st year are a lill short and i had to resend my fin docs again!!
So i did send my docs and it reached them yesterday...
Also...a frnd of mine and I and also sm other guys had received an email frm the univ that we have been considered 4 fin aid....So..now the results r out and all other guys have received fin aid...but i haven't heard frm them as yet...

So do u think this is becoz i was short in my docs or has the univ rejected my appl for aid cmpltly!!! Also.. can the univ keep the decision pending since i was a lill short in producing the docs earlier???

Hey..shud i call them up regarding this??

usually unviersity waits...
even if your current docs are insufficient ,they will inform u..
dnt worry...itz a process which goes step by step..they dnt cancel appln so suddnely...also dnt worry if u have been considered for aid u will get it for sure...

i have got admit in purdue for information security..
as from what i checked there are no fellowships for MS students.please tell em>>>??
did u apply for any funding opportunities like scholarship???if yes describe..

also...how much amount was asked to be shown..plz tell em coz..after i fax them my final degree certificate..they will ask me to show the financial ocs...

Just got a letter from prof in Purdue. Accepted, but no funding.
Extremely rare case in my field (chemistry).

Hey guys...seemed like a long battle but at last didn't matter coz...m emerged victorious...Won the funding battle at last and was paid!!!!

hey pranky..can u tell funding procedure...did they gave u funding on their own decision or you applied for it.>>

how much funding have u got??

did u submit degree certificate(final year).???

plz tell me how did they notify u on funding...wht about i20???

they have told em to send the degree certi..thn they will forward th offer(only th offer thn when will i get i20..i think now only registraiton will be send..whtz ur case)

Hey..jayesh ..srry 4 the late reply..yaa I had applied for funding at Purdue n after getting admission had mailed them twice stating my urgent need of a funding.

Then they lemme kno in March that decision 4 funding wud be made in the foll. weeks to come and that I am being considered.

Even aftr that I pursued wi my queries and rang them up twice in April to kno my status...finally achieved the goal..Hoped for an RA...but managed a TA...better still to have smthin rather than nthin at all!!!!

So..best of luck 2 u!!

Hi Pranky. How long did it take you to get the official letter from the graduate school at Purdue? I still do not hear anything from them after the department said they recommended me for final approval to the graduate school nearly a month ago. It's really frustrating because May is not too far. Wondering if accepted by the department but rejected by the graduate school?
