People please mention the factors that led you away from USC

Seems strange to me.... USC is ranked higher.

Also California is a way better place to live than Floridia in my opinion. I found Florida hot, humid and full of bugs. I love Los Angeles because there are no bugs or mosquitos.

Anyway, USC is a private school and most of the students are wealthy and from wealthy families. It is a very good school to network and meet powerful (or future powerful) people who can help you. Also USC people are very loyal. A lot of USC alums will do business with another USC alum whenever possible.

Example, USC MBA program is lower ranked than UCLA, but I know 2 people who went for USC anyway because of the chance to network and meet people.

I did not see any reason to choose UFL instead of USC!
USC is Top10 and UFL... Top30???

I have a friend went to UFL with JUST average GPA for Ph.D (0 publication i guess).

Any1 can give some reasons to choose UFL???

If you can afford USC then go that route because a better ranked school has a better chance of maintaining its reputation (nothing's guaranteed), but things are cheaper in Florida so you might want to consider that if you don't have aid. Usually schools will give you loans and there are several types of loans that you don't pay back until you're done. So have you started your program? Which one did you choose?
