decision
Hi all,
I have an admission from Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada) for PhD with full funding. My supervisor is the best supervisor I have ever seen and he has recently graduated from Berekley CS. I have also got an admission to MS CS at Gatech without aid (I can afford that but a little bit difficult). My main concern is that I can not find a good job after graduation from SFU. On the other hand, I will miss the opportunity for PhD if I go to Gatech (my ultimate goal is getting a PhD). I don't know where to go ![]() |

My suggestion is to always go to the best possible university you can.
You can surely find some sort of funding at GaTech in the form of RA/TA's. The professors at GaTech are simply amazing. After GaTech, you can land up in Phd at top notch schools like MIT, Stanford, Berkley or CMU. GaTech name counts a lot when you apply to these schools. You can make up the money you lost for MS within 6 months after graduation. So, you can apply for Phd just after 1 year of working. You can surely land up in great university for Phd after MS from GaTech. So, always go to the best possible university you can. |
