I was placed on the waitlist at Georgetown. Please recommend me what to do.
I am Thai and have 2 years full time work experience with a bachelor degree in environmental engineering (my GPA=2.47, my TOEFL= 267, my GMAT=640). I applied for 2 years MBA program at Georgetown University this fall 2006 and was placed on the waitlist. What should I do to be admitted to the program? Thanks in advance for recommendations.

Wait and call them every few weeks to check on your status (don't harass them). If you do well with people in person (as in you seem smart and serious and dedicated to the program) and you are local to the school then try to see if there's someone you can talk to in admissions or even the dean or asst dean (they'll often talk to grad students - not like undergrads). Tell them your situtuation. I've known two people that have done this and got in afterwards into other master's programs. I doubt it'd hurt you unless you were really rude to them or demanding. Good luck!
