SSHRC funding ??
Does anyone know when SSHRC PhD fellowship decisions are released (other than the general "April" response)?
Last year, i received my CGS-MA funding offer around the 22nd of March. Last edited by TheBrothersKaramazov : 03-03-2007 at 12:13 AM. |

I've been told that it varies by a few weeks each year...and that 'early April' is probably the best median expectation at this point.
I'm curious as to the proportion of 'A List' applications that end up getting funding; I don't recall seeing such a figure anywhere. |

If you look at the statistics on the SSHRC website from last year, you'll see it depends on discipline and university.
These are the figures from 1995 onwards. http://www.sshrc.ca/web/winning/prog_stats/tables_e.asp |

That's great, thanks. Not sure how I missed that link.
It looks like the conditional probability of (award|A list) ~ 40% for economics for the past few years (with a range of 26% to 56%). I expected it to be higher, actually. Hope that you hear good news in April! |
