Hi Gupta_v,
You have mentioned in the last post that you have been able to get part time work in the ECE dept. Could you please tell me how to apply for such work.. I mean after starting the course or before it. Do I need to contact any professor?

Hi Ruby

Let me tell you how I managed to get this job.I came to this University without any Research Assistantship,GS Assistantship or any other kind of Financial aid.Albeit I had mailed my resume with a covering letter to a number of profs in CS Dept but hardly any one replied.When I came here I started looking for a part time job and use to approach the profs asking them if they could offer me some kind of coding job and I even offered them to work voluntarily and started working without getting paid.Then one day the same prof put me on payroll under whom I had started working voluntarily.That's how I got the job.
