Congrats!

Their graduate department certainly ranks very well (#7 nationally):

well it ranks 6th national for the undergrad program in aerospace. Are there any internship oppurtunities there ? I am guessing I will soon be searching for one once I become a junior.

I'm not an aerospace person, but Boeing has a location in Chicago:

thanks for the info! I also got an admit to UMD . how would you evaluate it against UIUC for aerospace. Although uiuc is higher ranked, umd is close to D.C , thus more oppurtunities for internships ?

Hopefully, someone will reply since I am not an aerospace person. I would note, however, that top engineering students often will go to the best school, even if it is in the middle of nowhere, and then fly (at their or the company's expense) to the internship location and rent there for the summer (not necessarily at the student's expense). The initial application process for internship positions seems to be done mostly online, so that's another reason why location is less important.
