How do they know exactly what you studied at university? Afterall, my Academic Record only says Math, without giving any explanation on the actual content of the respective course. Did you give them details about the content of the main classes you took as an undergrad?
Indeed, I think most of the required math background is acquired during high school years in Romania. Of course, after almost 6 years, I don't remember that much of it. I'm sure I'll be able to catch up though. I just hope this won't make them reject my application.

I didnt give them any description of the courses I took.

Probably they wanted to see there explicitly written: CALCULUS , LINEAR ALGEBRA...Mathematics for Economists (as I have it in my transcripts )doesnt say much to them,I suppose.

Well, I ll write back to them and see what they have to say.

That's what I would do, compose a list of all topics covered in high-school with lots of buzzwords. Then, e-mail the list to the school and offer to get it signed by a professor. Furthermore, you can offer to do a test that covers this material - they most probably don't have one so they will say no thanks and you leave a good impression. Oh, and maybe you find a webpage with some test questions, even if it is romanian. That again won't help them but it won't hurt either.

Thanks Hendrik for your advice.

Actually I've written an email asking if they accept as proof of my calculus+linear algebra background a sort of an official paper from my High School with the maths syllabus. Let's see how they ll react. Maybe I am lucky.
